SBAC was awarded $3.3 million through U.S. Treasury CDFI Fund
SBAC has been awarded two grants totaling $3.3 million from the Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) Fund. The funds will be used to help small businesses in underserved communities invest in long-term development and prosperity.
SBAC plans to use the grants to provide small businesses with affordable access to capital and expand its small business scholarship pool. Read more

2023 Mayor’s Small Business Conference
Held on Tuesday, May 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Savannah Civic Center. Small business owners, operators, and entrepreneurs are invited to register. The one-day conference’s theme is “Discovering the Opportunities”- will include presentations and workshops on resources for businesses, along with a special celebration of women in business.
The 10th Annual State of Small Business in Chatham County
Presented by Savannah SCORE and Wells Fargo on Wednesday, May 3, 2023. The free event will be held from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. in the Torian Auditorium at Savannah State University.
SBAC’s COO/CFO, Victoria Saxton, and other business leaders from different sectors will present a brief overview of the current state of affairs and will offer key insights into what this means to the future of Savannah and the small business owner.

SBAC Donates St Patrick’s Day Raffle Proceeds to the Social Apostolate.
SBAC was happy to present a check to our friends at the Social Apostolate, the community outreach organization of the Diocese of Savannah. The check – totaling $415 – is from the proceeds from our raffle during our annual St. Patrick’s Day Open House. We would like to thank everyone who contributed to this wonderful endeavor!
