ABOUT OUR COMPANY

The Small Business Assistance Corporation (SBAC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit economic development lender dedicated to helping small businesses grow and strengthening the communities they serve. SBAC provides financing, credit-building assistance, and business advisory services to new and existing businesses throughout Southeast Georgia and the Lowcountry of South Carolina.
SBAC is certified as a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) by the U.S. Department of the Treasury and as a Certified Development Company (CDC) by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). SBAC also partners with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA), and the City of Savannah to provide financing and technical assistance that promote small business development. Through these partnerships and its own lending programs, SBAC offers a variety of financing options to businesses throughout our service area.
At the heart of SBAC’s mission is a commitment to equitable access to capital, technical assistance, and business opportunities. These resources help small businesses grow, create jobs, and contribute to the economic vitality of their communities. All loan repayments and earned revenue are wholly reinvested in the communities SBAC serves to fund future lending and technical assistance, ensuring that these resources continue to expand access to capital and promote long-term economic development.
