SAVANNAH, GA – October 2, 2023 – Small Business Assistance Corporation (SBAC)’s newest President and CEO, Victoria Saxton, is also Georgia Trend’s 40 under 40 award recipient for 2023. Saxton started her new role on October 1, 2023, and comes with 16 years of professional experience in accounting.
Saxton is no stranger to serving the community. She is a graduate of the Savannah Area Chamber Leadership Savannah Class of 2019-2020 and serves on the City of Savannah Taskforce Subcommittee for Economic Empowerment and Wealth Development. She is also a Steering Committee member for the development of the City of Savannah’s first minority-owned co-op, Ignite Advantage. “I am honored to have received such great accolades and been given opportunities to serve. I look forward to continuing the SBAC legacy and providing support services to the small business community.”
Saxton has been with SBAC for 8.5 years, beginning as a part-time staff accountant and serving as the lead accountant and manager of operations as the COO/CFO. “I am confident in the leadership skills and quality Victoria possesses to continue leading the organization,” states predecessor Tony O’Reilly. “Her commitment to SBAC has been demonstrated well throughout her work in the company and the community.”
Saxton, an Augusta, GA native, completed her BBA in Accounting at Savannah State University (SSU) and her Masters of Accounting Degree (MAcc) at Georgia Southern University.
