SAVANNAH, GA – October 25, 2023 – Victoria Saxton, formerly Small Business Assistance Corporation’s COO and CFO, has been appointed the organization’s President and Chief Executive Officer. Saxton, who has over 16 years of experience in accounting, began her new position on October 1, 2023.
Appointed by Tony O’Reilly, former CEO and president, Victoria Saxton has proven she possesses the qualities and abilities necessary to continue leading the company since joining the organization in 2015. “Her commitment to SBAC has been demonstrated well throughout her work in the company and the community,” states O’Reilly. She has directed several programming and funding initiatives for SBAC, including organizing ongoing small business resource events specific to the trucking, logistics, and childcare industries. She has helped secure over 33 government grants, totaling over $9 million in funding for small business owners.
Saxton earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Savannah State University and a master’s degree in accounting from Georgia Southern University. Victoria was a member of the Savannah Area Chamber Leadership Class for 2019–20. She has also spoken at several events about women in leadership and small business challenges. Currently, she serves on the boards of Buy Local, a locally focused small business networking group, and Step-Up Savannah, an organization that promotes economic opportunity and financial stability in Chatham County.
