Savannah, GA – October 20, 2025 – The Small Business Assistance Corporation (SBAC), a leading provider of small business loans and economic development programs in Savannah, welcomed its newest Board of Directors and Loan Committee members during the Volunteer Orientation Meeting on October 8, 2025.
The event introduced SBAC’s mission, strategic goals, and lending initiatives while fostering collaboration between new and existing members. Each volunteer contributes valuable financial and business expertise, supporting SBAC’s mission to expand access to capital and strengthen local economies.

These new members will play an essential role in SBAC’s governance and community lending programs. The Board of Directors provides strategic oversight, while the Loan Committee reviews and approves loan applications to ensure responsible, impact-driven financing for entrepreneurs and small business owners.

Following the orientation, attendees joined a trolley tour of more than 50 local businesses in downtown Savannah that have benefited from SBAC small business loan programs. The tour showcased the organization’s direct impact on local business growth, job creation, and economic development across Southeast Georgia.
